and so this is christmas....

Spotted:

Dearest readers, my apologies for lack of posting. The Christmas rush, as I like to call it, has literally swept me off my feet. I've been running from shop to shop for the past fortnight, not only for myself but for my parents as well. With over 30 people to buy for this year, I'm sure you'll understand why there has been a lack of posts coming from me.
My plans for Christmas...well as per usual it's very busy and non-stop. Christmas started last Saturday, a family dinner with my dads sisters and my cousins. Tonight, Christmas Eve, was the usual dinner with my mums dad and sister, probably my most enjoyed Christmas event. Tomorrow morning will see breakfast at 830am with my mum, dad, and one of my close friends, followed by drinks at 10 with my mums best friend. Lunch begins around 11am at my mums sisters place, a family gathering of around 20 people from my nannas side of the family. Home for a quick change, and then off to dinner with my dads family.
There will be a lack of posts over the weekend, as Friday morning I am off to Sydney (730am flight...) to visit my step sister and nephews. Will return Sunday, which will hopefully mean a post on Mondayish...

Soundtrack:

Happy Christmas (War is Over) - John Lennon

"And what have we done
Another year over
And a new one just begun"

And with that I bid you goodnight.

Happy Christmas!

interrupting....

So before I do a proper post (later tonight or tomorrow - promise) I thought I'd ask for your help in deciding what I should wear tonight. Am going to dinner with "whatever-you-want-to-call-him". Not entirely sure where, but probably somewhere casual-ish.

Black CK long sleeve top
Red vest
Grey shorts
Black tights
Steve Madden red points

CK Black Skinnies
Black & White striped shirt
Red Vest
Steve Madden red pumps

What do you think? Am leaning more towards the shorts/vest combo, but not 100% convinced yet. Advice is appreciated!

it's making me crazy...everytime i look around...

Spotted

Well, it's been another long hiatus on my part. Things should get back to some form of normality soon, and the daily posts shall return! I shan't make any excuses as to why I haven't been a regular blogger, we'll just put it down to sheer lack of motivation.
However, the weekend was yet again a non-event. The run down is as follows:
Friday night - Helped mum with a bit of Christmas shopping, and had dinner with parents and my nonno (mum's dad) at Gauchos on Gouger Street (Yes, you can now safely assume that I'm an Adelaidean).
Saturday/Saturday night - Worked all day Saturday with my screaming 3 year olds and crying babies. Spent Saturday night at whatever-you-want-to-call-him's place.
Sunday/Sunday night - Didn't wake up until 11-ish today, ended up going straight into town while whatever-you-want-to-call-him went surfing. Caught up with a friend for lunch and a spot of shopping, where I bought an amazing new maxi-dress from a new favourite shop. And tonight, was meant to catch up with whatever-you-want-to-call-him for dinner, but we both ended up having to go to family dinners.
You may be wondering why I keep mentioning "whatever-you-want-to-call-him". Basically, we've been dating for a little over 2 months, but are yet to define what we are to one another. As my last post revealed, we did have the bf/gf conversation...only he was rather intoxicated and doesn't remember how we got home, let alone the conversations we had whilst waiting for transport. Any suggestions as to what I can call him until I can label him "boy"? Or any advice as to what to do to remedy this situation? I feel the need for definition, but honestly have no idea what to do.

if you change your mind...

Spotted
Yes, another long absence. But in all honesty, my life has been very uninteresting lately. I've spent the majority of my time at home, doing nothing.
Since it has been far too long to go over everything, I'll just mention the weekend...

Saturday night was spent with the kind-of-boy and his friends (+1 gf, who was just lovely) at The London. Was a rather interesting night, but learnt an important lesson: don't have the bf/gf conversation when the boy in question is drunk. Chances are he won't remember it the next day.
Had to come home earlyish Sunday morning (well, before 10) to take part in an annual family tradition: the making of fruit mince pies. 65 dozen. In less than 5 hours. Charming.

Life has a funny way...

Spotted:

Well, it's the start of a new week (again!) and I am left wondering where my weekend went. Life seems to be going way too fast at the moment, with only 44 sleeps left until Christmas. That scares me a little.
Yes, I know it's yet again been a week since I've updated on here, but life is seriously moving too fast. Between work, family, friends and study, there seems to be no time left for me :(
I won't bore you with the details of my weekend, one word seems to sum it up: family.
Today I am finding ways to procrastinate...I have one assignment left for the year and it's due tomorrow at 11:45 pm. It has no impact upon next year as I'm changing degrees (entrance is based upon my year 12 results, thank God) and as such I have no motivation to complete it. 2000-6000 words: broad much?

Wearing:

As I am spending the day not moving from my computer (well...maybe I'll jump in the pool later...) my outfit is seemingly boring.
3/4 jeans
Black AA top
Bare feet...shoes at home drive me insane, especially when studying...
Hair up in messy side pony tail
Black frame Versace glasses

Come Home in the Morning Light...

Spotted:
I know, I know, I have been neglecting my blog! No posts over the weekend...and honestly, I have no excuses.

Friday night was spent at home all alone with my darling Toulouse. Had breakfast with my mum <3 nanna and little cousin on Saturday, followed by a fair amount of shopping with the 5 year old. Was so proud of him though, he was quite happy to follow me around and help with carrying bags - bought him a toy for his fantastic effort!

Saturday night...what a night! Had a joint birthday party for 2 great friends (Nick and Amanda). Thankfully, they both loved their presents (cuff links for him, bracelet for her). Had dinner and drinks at The Maid, followed by a quick dash to Swish. The lovely boy picked me up from Swish (rather drunk I confess) and took me back to his place where he gave me 3 glasses of water and tucked me into bed :) The great night was ruined, however, as my mums camera was stolen while sitting on top of my bag.

I woke up Sunday with a small headache, which disappeared once I woke up later on. Had breakfast with the boy on The Parade, after which he had to rush off to work. Ended up coming home and curling up on the couch with Toulouse and slept the afternoon away.

Annnd today...I worked 9-11 and 330-6. Somehow managed to pull a muscle in my back during the first shift, but the cuteness of the kids I see on Mondays seem to make it worthwhile...

I Sit There and Wait...

Spotted:

Well today was a bit of an odd day. Woke up to my darling kitten licking my nose. Guess it's a positive progression from scratching or biting!

After lunch with a good friend, I came back home and started my cupcake mission. Basically, the plan is to spend the next few days making cupcakes. Needless to say, my house is resembling cupcake heaven!

Moments when I think I'm going Crazy...

Spotted:

Taught my screaming 3 year olds at work today - only, the majority of them decided they were happy to have their normal instructor back. After work I hopped into the city (well not literally, but you know what I mean) for a brief spot of shopping and to have drinks with the boy.

Witchery Jimmay Bronze/Gold Heels - Originally $189, I paid $35. Impressed?
Sportsgirl Strapless Playsuit - I purchased this in black for $99. Was unsure of the whole 'jumpsuit' look, but it looked great on.

Wearing:

Black/grey Sportsgirl tulip skirt

And I knew no words to share with anyone...

Spotted:
Felt like a bit of a busy beaver today. Woke up at 7:30 a.m. to discover that Toulouse had a bad reaction to his injection yesterday, so had to deal with a sick kitten early this morning. Had a doctors appointment at 9 a.m. which I rushed to and from as Toulouse didn't seem to be fond of being home alone.

Ended up running late (well, only 10 minutes but I'm not a fan of being late for anything) for lunch with my bestie from school. Had sushi followed by dessert at Cocolat. Disappointingly, I had to rush off to work at 3 - dealing with 4 year olds was worse than normal today. Sorry for the blurriness of the picture, was struggling to get it right. Will have better quality pictures in future :)

When the days were long...

Spotted:
The majority of today has been spent either sleeping or lazing on the couch, with the small event of taking Toulouse to the vet. Thankfully, he doesn't mind the car and absolutely loves the vet that we take him to so he was quite happy to be travelling in the car. Also uploaded the PhotoBooth 2.0 series from Friday night at the London, thus the soundtrack of today.

As today has been a fairly lazy Tuesday no outifts of note require to be posted...well in picture form anyway. Feel like a living advertisement for Country Road casual wear.
